The MMM strategy book

Every day-trading strategy that passed our tests, written as steps you can follow on a chart: which chart, what time, where to enter, where the stop goes and when to get out.

Tested on 4 markets, each on its own 1-minute data and split into 2 periods: NQ / MNQ from Dec 2022 to Oct 2026, where the rules were built, then ES / MES, gold (GC / MGC) and crude oil (CL / MCL) from Dec 2025 to Oct 2026. A strategy passes a market only if it made money in both periods there. Every trade pays its costs. Pick a market and your size below to see the money.

Pick ONE strategy. Study it, understand it, check that it fits your trading style and backtest it yourself. Then decide. We never advise trading several strategies at once.

The NY morning profile · 9:30 to 11:30 AM

Most strategies in this book are traded in the New York morning. This is what that window looks like before you place a trade: when the high and low are made, what the 09:30 and 10:00 candles tell you, and how far a run goes. Every number = 2022–25 / 2026.

83 / 85%Made early

Days where the 09:30–11:30 high or low is already in by 10:00.

155 / 235Morning range, pts

Median high-to-low from 09:30 to 11:30 on NQ.

86–92%BC+ points the way

A BC+ at 10:00: the next candle takes its target first, on 5m to 4H.

94 / 92%Opening range breaks

Days that close out of the 09:30–10:00 range. Both sides only 14 / 11%.

68 / 79%Gaps with the 4H side

09:30–10:00 UPG gaps that point with the 4H candle react. Against it: 47 / 29%.

2 BCsRuns are short

Median run after 10:00 before the other side closes. Take points, the opposite candle gives them back.

These are counts of what price does, not trading signals. Use them to read the morning around the strategy you picked. 2026 = 61 days, a small sample.

Rules that make every strategy better

Not trades on their own. Each one lifted the strategies it was added to, in both periods.

Tested and rejected

Ideas that looked good on a chart and lost money, faded to zero, or only worked in one period. Do not trade these.

How to read the numbers

WR
Win rate: how often a trade ends in profit. A low WR is fine when the wins are much bigger than the losses.
avg RR
The average result of one trade, measured in stops. +0.20 means each trade made a fifth of its stop on average, after costs.
PF
Profit factor: all the money won divided by all the money lost. Above 1 makes money.
t-score
How sure we are it is not luck. 2 or more is the bar. More trades and steadier results push it up.
2-period test
NQ: period 1 = Dec 2022 – Dec 2025, where the rules were found, period 2 = Dec 2025 – Oct 2026 (fresh MNQ). ES, gold and crude: period 1 = Dec 2025 – Jun 2026, period 2 = Jun – Oct 2026. Some tests on 1m and 5m charts have less data, so their periods are shorter: each card shows its exact dates. PASS = avg RR above +0.05 in both. It is a test, not a profit score.
Trade on
The markets where the strategy made money in both periods on that market’s own data. NQ only = it did not pass anywhere else yet.
Trade and Watch
Trade = proven in both periods. Watch = it passed, but period 2 has few trades or a weak result. Paper-trade a Watch strategy before using money.
Green, yellow edge
The colour on the left of each strategy card. Green = made money and t-score 2+. Yellow = made money but the t-score is under 2: it could be luck.
Equity curve
The running total of every trade, in stops. The shaded part on the right is period 2, the fresh data.
Example pictures
Drawings of the setup, not real trades. Long shows the buy side, short the same setup upside down. Filter on draws the extra check the strategy needs.
Live trading
Expect less than the test. Slippage, missed fills and nerves cost money. Start small.
