The indicator

Gamma Walls and Institutional Bias

It puts the walls on your ES or NQ chart and reads them for you. One small table tells you the bias, the type of market and where to buy or sell.

What it does

Walls on your chart

Today's call wall (blue), put wall (orange) and flip (purple). Plus the 90-day walls (green and red) and zero gamma (black).

Gamma histogram

One bar per strike, 3 candles to the right of price. Green = calls, red = puts. A long bar = a big wall.

Wall signals

Wall Held, Trap, Break and Fake Break. Each one gets a grade: A, B or C.

One small table (HUD)

BIAS, DO, MARKET, SELL AT, BUY AT, PLAN, MONEY, CROWD and FLOW. Hover a row to read why.

Big money

Weekly COT: what asset managers and hedge funds are doing. Daily open interest: is new money coming in or going out?

Footprint flow

Buyers minus sellers on each candle. It needs a TradingView plan with footprint data (Premium).

How to use it

  1. 1Every morning, copy today's block on this page and paste it into the indicator (the 3 steps above).
  2. 2Read DO. One line with the plan for today, for example "Buy dips at floors" or "No bias · stand aside".
  3. 3Read MARKET. CALM = price is above the flip: dealers slow price down, so walls tend to hold. FAST = price is below the flip: breaks tend to run.
  4. 4Read SELL AT and BUY AT. The nearest wall above and below price, in points from price.
  5. 5Wait for a signal at a wall in the DO direction. Calm day: Wall Held or Trap. Fast day: Break. Grade A = 70% or more of the checks agree. B = 50% or more.
  6. 6"Half size" in DO means the open interest does not agree. Hover any row of the table to read the full reason.

Prices are off at the start. Each level shows its distance in points (+120 = 120 points above price). Turn on Show Prices in group 7.

Lines Start At: where the level was born, the current price or the histogram. Line Length sets how far the lines go, in candles.

Your own colors. Group 9 sets the color, width and style of every line. The histogram can move away from price with Gap From Price.

Research only, not advice. These signals are not part of the tested MMM strategies. Watch them on your own chart before you trade with them.

What the levels mean

Call Wall — the strike with the biggest call positioning above price. Dealers hedging there often slow rallies down.

Put Wall — the strike with the biggest put positioning below price. Often a floor where selling gets absorbed.

Zero Gamma / GEX Flip — where dealer hedging changes from calming price to pushing it. Above it, moves tend to be calmer; below it, faster.

90D vs Today — 90D = the big picture over the next three months. Today = only the options that expire today (0DTE).

Index prices (SPX / NDX); the indicator converts them to futures. CBOE delayed data, naive open-interest model, may differ from other providers. History: gex_history.csv
